The other side of forgiveness

 

So what comes after forgiveness? 

First a vacant stillness in the place where I carried the hurt and anger.  Just echoey empty space.

A day or so after forgiving Bush, came a flood of overwhelming compassion. Compassion for a man I was furious with.

Eight years of anger, gone in a flash of forgiveness.

I feel free.

Forgiveness – I highly recommend it. 🙂
